340B APEXUS CERTIFIED EXPERT RECERTIFICATION PROCESS

To maintain 340B expert status, 340B Apexus Certified Experts (ACEs) must recertify every two years by passing a recertification exam covering the latest 340B Program trends and hot topics.

The 340B Program is complex and dynamic. New regulations, guidelines, and policy releases are published to clarify important information about program compliance and requirements. As a result, innovative best practices emerge and soon become widely accepted standard procedures.

New Recertification Process

The new recertification process for the Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program makes it more convenient for you to maintain your 340B ACE status and stay up to date with the latest developments in the 340B Program.

What Changed?

  • Extended Timeframe: Life can get busy, and finding time to recertify can be challenging. That’s why the recertification timeframe has been extended to five months. This gives you ample time to review the content and prepare for the exam at your own pace, without feeling rushed.
  • Updated Exam Content: The recertification exam content is based on the recertification content now released quarterly by the Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program. This ensures that you are up to date with the most relevant information in the industry.
  • Access to Recertification Content at No Cost: All Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program enrollees will now have access to the recertification content throughout the year, every year. All enrollees can continually learn about new program developments and earn continuing education (CE) credits without any additional cost.

These changes provide 340B ACEs with more time, flexibility, and access to invaluable 340B information compiled by experts in the field. Our goal is to support your professional development and ensure that you maintain the highest level of insight needed to understand the current 340B landscape, maintain compliance, and manage a 340B program effectively.

Three easy steps to recertify

It’s an easy three-step process to maintain your ACE certification:

  1. Review the recertification content in the Apexus Education Portal. An email notification will be sent to 340B ACEs when their recertification window opens. The notification includes their ACE expiration date along with the topics included on the recertification exam.
  2. Purchase the recertification exam for $200. The exam will be available in the course catalog during your recertification window.
  3. Pass the recertification exam and maintain your 340B Apexus Certified Expert status for another two years.

Recertifying as an ACE not only benefits the entity you represent, but it also validates your in-depth, up-to-date expertise to your organization’s leadership and ensures that you continue to have access to our 340B Program content. Our program is the only one-stop industry source for invaluable 340B information compiled by experts in the field.

Continuing education credit

Earn continuing education credit through the recertification content released quarterly by the Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program. Complete all four modules in their entirety and log your CE credits through PACE to obtain CE credit each year. More information about CE credit will be available at the end of each calendar year.

Don’t let your ACE certification expire!

If you fail to take the recertification exam within your recertification window and let your ACE certification expire, you may lose your ACE designation as well as access to the 340B Advanced Operations Certificate curriculum and exclusive tools. You will then need to re-enroll in the Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program—and pay the full cost of the course—to regain access to the program.

The Advanced 340B Operations Certificate Program is a separate Apexus offering that is not a part of the 340B Prime Vendor Program or otherwise associated with the Prime Vendor Agreement between HRSA and Apexus.
